The Woad Farm Project

The Woad Farm Project is a not for profit, set up by local foster carers with a background in children’s social care, charities and farming. We provide a safe, nurturing and non-judgemental environment which enables children and young people who have experienced trauma to heal and grow.

By creating therapeutic, fun and memorable experiences in an outdoor environment, children can build confidence and resilience. Sessions offer the chance to make friends whilst feeling a sense of accomplishment and pride as children learn more about farming and caring for animals. Studies have evidenced the importance of time spent outdoors and there are limitless benefits of spending time in nature and with animals.

We offer a 12 week program, 1:1 sessions, open sessions and bespoke farming experiences for schools and groups.
